The Most Reverend Harry J. Flynn, P.D., Archbishop of Minneapolis & St. Paul
On March 31, 2007 the Most Reverend Harry J. Flynn, D.D., Archbishop of Saint Paul and Minneapolis, sent CRY a letter stating his wholehearted support of our work to end the use of wild animals in circuses. He signed our Resolution in Support of Animal-Free Circuses, and thanked CRY volunteers for their kindness.
Because so many look to Archbishop Flynn for guidance on ethical issues of our day, his public support of CRYs initiative will undoubtedly inspire many Catholics locally and will also add a moral authority to the effort to end cruelty to wild animals in Minneapolis.
If your pastor, minister, priest, or church would also like to add their name to those in prominent positions who support CRYs work, please let us know. Email us at info@crymn.org and well follow up with them. Thank you for spreading the word and letting all you know about the suffering the animals in the circus endure, as well as about the growing number of compassionate voices in MN speaking up for the animals.
